Leprechaun Fun
After playing outside the students came in to find that Leo the tricky Leprechaun put our classroom in disarray. They found his green footprints everywhere, he tipped over chairs, moved things around and even left a note. They are having a fun day filled with green. We will spend the rest of the afternoon watching a movie and eating green treats. It's a great day in Kindergarten!

March Learning
It is now March and Kindergarten is learning all about weather. We have discussed and completed activities about different types of weather, especially March's windy weather. We even learned the meaning of the idiom "in like a lion, out like a lamb." The students are anxious for spring and cannot wait until March 20th. Kindergarten has a lot of fun spring things to look forward to; such as, the classroom butterfly life cycle, our green day celebration on March 16th, Easter activities and spring break April 2-6. We are excitingly awaiting the arrival of spring!

Happy Valentine's Day!
Our Tuesday at Oxford Trails Academy is filled with Valentine fun! We are excited to see everyone wearing their red, pink and white! Kindergarten is especially excited about their special Valentine lunch. They are going to have a blast making their own heart shaped sandwiches and passing out Valentines. Thank you parents for making our festivities possible! Have a wonderful and happy Valentine's Day!

Groundhog Fun
This week we have been discussing Groundhog day and what the meaning of it is. The students completed groundhog art, wrote their own groundhog predictions and even made a groundhog burrow while playing outside. We were able to tie in shadows and weather into our groundhog lessons as well. The students were so excited when "General Beau Lee" of Georgia did not see his shadow. All of their predictions were correct! The students said they are ready for spring and warmer weather. They hope that the groundhog is right. Happy Groundhog Day!
